Linda, what a wonderful tribute to all the mothers in your family's lines! Seeing the picture of your mom, after reading all your stories, makes me feel as if I already know her!
Hope your Mother's Day was pleasant!
I often thank my Mother, Linda Tully, for this blog, Many Branches, One Tree. On this Mother's Day, I want to publically thank her.
I have seen the work that genealogists, like my mother, undertake. It is a fantastic and complex process. It means trips to libraries and courthouses. It means combing through dry documents to find a few names. It is as challenging as it is rewarding.
Most fantastic of all, my mother's meticulous research is rendered into more than dry facts. I now have stories that will be shared with future generations. Thanks to my mother's hard work and dedication, I have my family's history, preserved and at my fingertips.
Genealogy is not a sole endeavor. I have seen how the integral part that the genealogy community plays. I want to thank the entire genealogy community for your collaboration, your your excellent work, and for helping me know and understand my history.
Mom, thank you for taking the time and energy to memorialize history into writing. Your writing is read and greatly appreciated in and outside the family. As always, I can't wait to read your next post.
Thank you, Jacqi! I had a beautiful Mother's Day with my family. There is nothing better than being with the ones you love.
I hope your own Mother's Day was lovely, too! Take care.
Michael, thank you for always being one of my biggest supporters and collaborators. You, my dear son, your brother and sister make all of this worthwhile – and SO much fun!
I love you with all my heart -There!- I said it for all the world to see! xxoo
Gorgeous pictures!
Thank you, Jennifer! So glad you stopped by!
